Bobby Brown commemorated the second anniversary of his daughter Bobby Kristina Brown’s death by tweeting out a video of her singing Adele’s “Someone Like You.”
“I💜you BabyGirl #BobbiKristina,” Bobby tweeted, following the brief message with the video. The video itself was released on the Instagram page of Bobbi Kristina Serenity House, a nonprofit named after her that provides a safe haven for survivors of domestic violence.
Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in her bathtub back in January of 2015. She remained in a coma for six months before passing away in June at age 22. Her death had an eerie similarity to her own mother Whitney Houston’s death three years prior. While Houston’s death was ruled in an official coroner’s report due to accidentally drowning in a bathtub, with cocaine use and heart disease as contributing factors, Bobbi Kristina’s estate believes Krissy’s death was no accident.
Nick Gordon, her then boyfriend, is accused of abusing her and giving her a “toxic cocktail” before she was found unresponsive. Last September, in a civil case, he was found legally responsible for her wrongful death and was ordered to pay $36 million to Bobbi Kristina’s estate.
But the trouble doesn’t stop there: just last month, Gordon, who is still under criminal investigation for Brown’s death, was arrested for beating up his current live-in girlfriend in Florida. According to reports, the Fulton County D.A. says Gordon’s current domestic abuse and kidnapping arrest in Florida will add another layer of evidence in the now two-year criminal investigation into Bobbi Kristina’s death.
Gordon still maintains his innocence in Krissy’s death.
