Prodigy lives on in Alchemist's new Mobb Deep track "Try My Hand"

As the passing of Mobb Deep’s Prodigy continues to reel tributes and reactions from collaborators, the group’s longtime producer The Alchemist treated fans with a real gem for #FlashbackFriday.

Off Alchemist and UK producer Budgie’s collaborative album, The Good Book, Vol. 2, the producer liberated “Try My Hand,” a standalone track by the Mobb that is as signature Mobb Deep as signature Mobb Deep gets. The nightmarish production and silky smooth sample allows for Havoc and P to lace vivid storytelling. “The giants is here, for the daughters and men, Infamous master race, hip-hop legends,” rhymes P, who died last month at the age of 42.
