Today (April 21) in Brooklyn, all the “ryde or die” fans of the Ruff Ryders will get to see the dynasty-forming crew back together again for the first time in years. The “Ruff Ryders and Friends” show is definitely a-go with DMX, Swizz Beatz, Eve, Drag-On, and The Lox all confirmed to perform.
“We’re doing the Barclays, then we going to Foxwoods [Casino],” The Lox’s Sheek Louch told REVOLT TV.
The Yonkers trio, who recently signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation, have had a steady diet of eating with tour money since last spring. They were featured on the “Bad Boy Reunion” shows at Barclays which turned into a full-blown summer tour. And this year, Louch, Jadakiss, and Styles P have been on their own outing in support of their latest LP Filthy America… It’s Beautiful.
Sheek says he feels like The Double-R’s reunion will take a page out of Puff Daddy’s playbook. “I think it’s gonna go how Diddy did it. It’ll be a whole tour soon,” Louch said about what he hopes the reunion will manifest into. “I’m looking forward to it. I seen X. During a lot of the Bad Boy run, he was out there rocking with us. I can’t wait to see everybody else.”
As for the “friends” who are also advertised to perform as guests with the Ryders this weekend, Sheek says he can’t tell us who, but he hinted at how many, saying, “We did songs with everybody around that time, so I’m sure a lot of guests are coming.”
“It should be good, following off the Bad Boy tour,” Jadakiss added. “I been getting a lot of calls, been getting a lot of emails. People want to see it so it’s going to be good. I might have to get a new number because they asking for so many tickets.”
Meanwhile, The Lox are gearing up to drop another LP this summer.
Tickets are still available for the Barclays show tonight (April 21) and the Foxwoods show on Saturday (April 22).
