Last October, Kevin Gates was sentenced to six months in jail for kicking a female fan during a Florida concert. He was set to be released today, a month early, from Polk County Jail, but in an unfortunate turn of events was re-arrested.

According to TMZ, as Gates was being processed out of the system, authorities found an outstanding out-of-state warrant for a felony weapons charge.

XXL has reported that he is set to be extradited to Cook County, Illinois, where the charges stem from. The rapper has a hearing set for later today.
