Maybe even more than his Ruff Ryders brother Jadakiss, a strong case can be for legendary producer Swizz Beatz to be lauded as Top Five Dead or Alive. Swizz is on his 19th year of bringing his bangers to the masses, no signs of slowing down. He has his own album in the works, Busta Rhymes and DMX just dropped new Swizz produced records and possibly a new with Jay Z could be coming soon (Swizz says the two have been in lab working on material). Grammy awards, multi-platinum plaques, endless respect and a diverse catalog of collaborators ranging from Beyoncé, to OJ Da Juiceman, yes indeed, the Bronx born boards man has done it all a few times. Recently a guest on “Drink Champs” with hosts N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, Swizz discussed some of his most pivotal production moments, beats he wish he would made, DJs who influenced his career and more. You can see it tonight on REVOLT.
For now however, take a look as we celebrate Swizz’s excellence by listing 55 of his most essential singles (in chronological order).
Tune in to “Drink Champs” every Thursday at 11 PM ET on REVOLT. Be sure to catch the re-air Saturday nights Saturday at 11 PM ET.
