Young Dolph, who REVOLT TV interviewed last year about his love for his hometown of Memphis, and who we recently heard on Gucci Mane’s “Bling Blaww Burr,” was reportedly the target of a massive shooting attempt this past weekend.
According to the Charlotte Observer, at least 100 shots were fired on Saturday night (February 25) around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of the 600 block of North Caldwell Street and 8th Street. It was just a half hour before the final men’s championship game of the CIAA was to start nearby at the Spectrum Center.
Social media posts suggest a block party was going on at the time and, according to Complex, “various media reports and footage provided by witnesses have Dolph’s SUV as one of the vehicles targeted during the shooting.”
Dolph was in town to perform at an unofficial CIAA-related party at Cameo nightclub and, despite the shooting, managed to hit the stage for the scheduled performance alongside Migos and 21 Savage.
He took to Twitter to seemingly confirm the news of him being a target with a taunt to the possible shooters, writing: “You loose [sic].”
Miraculously, “there have been no reports of injuries.”
