Migos’ Quavo x Lil Yachty, “Ice Tray”

Quality Control has finally delivered what has been one of the most anticipated music videos as of late, dropping off the visual for “Ice Tray.” As promised, the clip opens with a spoof on Complex’s Everyday Struggle, during which the character impersonating co-host Joe Budden dishes out his fair share of complaints about Migos, such as by blasting their expensive, iced-out jewelry. After Quavo and Lil Yachty run through the song, which appears on Quality Control’s new The Streets Volume 1 compilation album, and the other Migos members make a cameo, the focus returns to the Joe Budden lookalike, who is found shivering while covered in ice and snow at the end of the video, due to the “coldness” of the track.

For those unfamiliar, the “beef” between Budden and Migos stems from an interview that took place at the 2017 BET Awards, during which things escalated after DJ Akademiks tried to make a joke about Migos member Takeoff being left off “Bad and Boujee.” Lil Yachty and Joe Budden also got into it during an episode of Everyday Struggle earlier in the year, resulting in a glorious pile of memes about Budden’s impassioned commentary. Both Yachty and Quavo explain that the inspiration behind their new video was simply to poke fun at the situation, chalking it all up to boredom.

G-Eazy, “No Limit (Remix)” feat. A$AP Rocky, Cardi B, French Montana, Juicy J, Belly

This club banger lives on. After dropping the star-studded remix to his anthem “No Limit,” G-Eazy has come through with the official music video for the track. The remix, which features additional verses from Juicy J, Belly and French Montana, takes the chart-climbing Cardi B and A$AP Rocky-assisted song to the next level. For the visual, the entire squad can be seen taking it to an artistically abandoned warehouse, full of ladies twerking and giant piles of burning money. It ain’t safe, it ain’t safe…

The Diplomats, “Once Upon a Time”

2017 blessed us with the long-awaited reunion of The Diplomats, with the veteran Harlem-based rap group turning the page on past internal beefs and getting back to the music. After dropping off their new song, “Once Upon a Time,” last month, the iconic crew has turned the track into a movie. The visual opens up with sirens and a street scene juxtaposed with an all-female choir, who, naturally, are each donning a pink bandana. Even though only Cam’ron and Jim Jones rap on the song, members Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey make cameos. A welcome return.

AirlineJay, “Other Side”

Upstate New York-based rapper AirlineJay is holding his city down, dropping off a visual for his track, “Other Side.” For the song, which appears on his recent album, Black Denim, AirlineJay draws inspiration from being proud of the unity and friendship found in one’s hometown, with the visual doubling as a not-so-humble reminder not to count out the talent emerging outside of the major music hubs found in the U.S.
