Fans of ’90s R&B rejoice! Legendary group Dru Hill has come through with a special holiday EP, with the 8-track project marking their fifth studio project and first in seven years.
The project, Christmas in Baltimore, which was produced by Grammy Award-winning writer/producer Troy Taylor, also arrives as the precedent to a new studio album, set to arrive in 2018.
“It’s a Dru Hill Christmas,” the group shared with REVOLT, speaking of the project. “And with us, you have to always expect the unexpected. So, of course, with this EP, we tried to give you a holiday experience you’ll never forget. We hope the fans love it.”
The EP features the R&B/soul veterans flipping classics such as “Silent Night” and “Tis The Season,” with original holiday songs mixed in.
“We’ve always wanted to do a Christmas album, and we knew our fans had been waiting,” the group added. “This year, it just all came together and we decided to invite everybody in for that authentic Baltimore holiday experience… you won’t find another Christmas album like this, we guarantee it.”
