With a dry lineup set to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration in less than 48 hours, it is now being reported that singer Chrisette Michele will join the party.

According to New York Daily News, Michele was called to perform the gospel song “Intentional” with Travis Greene, Tye Tribbett, and Jonathan McReynolds. However, after two of the mentioned singers declined, Michele reportedly agreed to perform. It is being said that the deal was reached a week ago, but was kept a “big secret” due to the singer’s camp fearing harsh criticism. Jennifer Holliday, who originally agreed to perform, endured public backlash for the same. The latter singer has since withdrew from performing.

Following the report, it didn’t take long for the news to conjure up a flood of social media reaction, including one from The Roots drummer Questlove, who wrote, “I’d pay Chrisette to NOT perform.”

The PEOTUS’s inauguration is set to take place on January 20. In addition to the report of Michele being booked, the event will also feature performances from Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down, Lee Greenwood, and Sam Moore.
