It’s been nearly a month since Desiigner’s XXL Freshman freestyle was shared with (and subsequently silenced) the world. Superbly unconventional, the 45-second spit garnered over 7 million views on YouTube and a slew of remixes, prompting the rapper to decide to turn the off-the-cuff ditty into a real-deal track, “Timmy Turner.” Knowing our anticipation, he’s teased its release three times in the last week, and yet still: nothing.

But now we have a new update. Last night, Desiigner shared a clip of himself on Instagram performing the song alongside super-producer Mike Dean who’s on piano duty playing dramatic keys.

The “Panda” rapper simply captioned the video “HE IS ALMOST HERE,” but we’ll have to hear it to believe it. At this point, can it still live up to its original hype?
