Reporters being arrested in Rochester:
RAW VIDEO: 13WHAM News reporters Carlet Cleare and Justin Carter detained by Rochester Police while covering protests in downtown Rochester.
Edit for additional information: Carlet and Justin had been covering the story while walking up and down sidewalks and roads, alongside journalists from various Rochester media outlets. At various times, many members of these organizations stepped into and back out of the street.
Around 12:40 a.m., Carlet and Justin said they were pulled from the sidewalk and detained by Rochester Police. Carlet was wearing a work-issued polo shirt bearing the logo of the news outlet for which she works. Other members of other media organizations were not detained, despite walking similar paths while covering the protests.
Both Carlet and Justin were eventually released by police and were not charged.
