Stella McCartney’s new promo video for her latest fragrance, Pop, plays out like the roadtrip of your dreams and features a who’s-who of today’s ‘It’ Girls.
There’s electropop musician Grimes, whose Janelle Monáe-assisted song “Venus Fly” backs the campaign clip.
Actress and activist Amandla Stenberg who makes it her business to eloquently and intelligently speak on race, cultural appropriation, sexuality, gender, feminism, and youth on a regular.
Kenya Kinski-Jones, who’s more than just Quincy Jones‘ daughter, but an animal activist too.
And Lourdes Leon, the model daughter of none other than Madonna.
In the pastel pink-tinted clip, directed by Melina Matsouaks, the foursome can be seen lounging around a motel, filling a Cadillac up with pool water, taking a drive to the desert, and dancing in the dirt.
According to Vogue, “the tuberose and sandalwood scent…is meant to evoke the experience of finding your own voice.” And McCartney told the mag that each woman “arrived on set with her own distinctive beauty signature, from Grimes’s Rainbow Brite dye job and Stenberg’s cloud of curls to Leon’s extended-tip French manicure and Kinski-Jones’ all-over golden glow.”
