REVOLT will premiere the second episode of its new monthly series Global Spin Presents: Respect the DJ, featuring the world famous DJ Drama on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. ET (with an encore at 10:30 p.m. ET). The 30-minute episode chronicles a day-in-the-life of the “Gangsta Grillz” DJ as he produces his signature beats, works high-profile gigs in vibrant cities like Las Vegas and Miami, and balances his family life. The cameras follow Drama for 48 hours and offer the viewer an exclusive look into what makes him one of the world’s most popular DJs.

Best known for his work in the popular “Dedication” mixtape series by rap superstar Lil Wayne, DJ Drama launched what has been a massively successful music career in the mid 2000s. Drama has made waves in the industry with his “Gangsta Grillz” mixtape series, three impressive studio albums and, most recently, his executive power moves. In 2003, DJ Drama distinguished himself as a business mogul by co-founding the Aphilliates Music Group. He was later rewarded when he inked a joint-venture deal with larger company Asylum Records. DJ Drama, now A&R of powerhouse Atlanta Records, not only possesses legendary prowess on the turntables, but also boasts a keen business sense. The episode displays the versatility, adaptability and work ethic needed to be an influential DJ in the music industry.
