Radio Silence. James Blake returned to his home-away-from-home for the last show on his BBC Radio 1 Residency last night (June 9).
Joined by members of the 1-800-Dinosaur crew, he played songs by Talk Talk, Mark Pritchard, Lone, Arthur Russell, a remix of “Retrograde” by Connan Mockasin featuring vocals from Lorde, “Belive” by Airhead, “Bala” by Mr. Assister and DJ Badger’s “Orangensaft.” Blake also welcomed in the summer by playing Mavado’s “Gully Christmas.”
The show concludes his consecutive season run, and leads him back into tour formation for his latest stellar album The Colour In Anything.
