With a just week into their latest release A Moon Shaped Pool, the English rock legends Radiohead have now unveiled a series of cryptic posts to Instagram. The band gave fans a sneak peek at the upcoming clip for “The Numbers,” as well as a string of photos that appear to be from the video set
In the clip, a man sweeps large clumps of dust into a dustpan and tosses it into a bucket as the room he’s in continues to slowly fill with sand. The imagery is spin to the song’s themes of seemingly futile human action in the face of imminent doom. As stated in the caption, the video will be directed by Oscar Hudson, who’s primarily worked on videos for indie rock bands.
“The Numbers” comes as the third installment from Radiohead’s release off their ninth studio album.
