De La Soul is back from the dead.

It’s been twelve years since De La Soul released their last album, The Grind Date. Though the 2004 record was their last LP, they’ve never disappeared from the Hip Hop circuit, releasing one-off joints, as well as taking the stage more often than one would think. Nonetheless, in between the hype surrounding the releases of Beyonce’s Lemonade and Drake’s Views, De La were slated to drop their Kickstarter-funded project, And The Anonymous Nobody… Unfortunately, the album was pushed back to August 26 but that didn’t stop them from serving up an EP in its place, For Your Pain & Suffering.
