Authorities have confirmed the identity of rapper Bankroll Fresh as the victim in the late-night fatal shooting outside a well-known Atlanta recording studio.
According to Atlanta PD to REVOLT, the department’s Zone 2 unit responded to a shooting that occurred last night (March 4) around 11 p.m. at Street Exec Studios at 1740 Defoor Place in northeast Atlanta. As units responded, they observed a large crowd of people fleeing the location. Shortly after units arrived, it became known that at least one victim was shot and was transported away from the scene in an unknown vehicle.
The victim was Atlanta rapper Bankroll Fresh, born Trentavious White.
He was taken to Hughes Spalding hospital, where he died from injuries suffered in the incident. The rapper was 28-years-old.
Releasing music since 2007, Bankroll was a star in his hometown, but thanks to releases like his Life of A Hot Boy series and the self-titled Bankroll Fresh, (among other) his buzz had begin trickling outside of the A.
Homicide Units responded to the location of the shooting and processed the scene, while Homeland Security also responded and recovered video evidence.
As of this writing, there is no information on a suspect or motive.
