Two unreleased Drake tracks, purportedly from the upcoming Views From the 6, have floated online.
One of the two is a dancehall-tinged collaboration with Popcaan, called “Controlla,” while the other is a cover of Nico’s 1967 song “These Days.”
The former track echoes the irresistible island vibes of Drizzy’s “Work” collab with Ri Ri, adding to the OVO captain’s well-documented appreciation for dancehall. Meanwhile, the latter is mainly a cover of the said ’60s-song, which appeared on the album Chelsea Girl.
Although the songs were not officially released by Drizzy, they surely add weight to the claims made on “Summer Sixteen” and that’s the fact that he’s out here “looking to do what you couldn’t do.”
Before they’re taken down, the tracks “Controlla” and “These Days” can be heard at a few sites.
