On 1997’s “Victory,” The Notorious B.I.G. gave a very well-known shout-out to a Yonkers trio by the name of LOX.

When The Notorious B.I.G. mentioned breaking “bread with the Kiss, Peniro, Sheek Louch” on 1997’s “Victory,” he a big (no pun intended) stamp of approval to rap’s three headed monster The Lox. It also validated why they were one of the few features on the magnum opus that is Life After Death.

“We got one up on wall of these dudes, because just being in the presence and being able to be there during the recording of Life After Death is [such] a timeless experience for the hip-hop culture,” explained Jadakiss, alongside Sheek Louch and Styles P, when talking about the very album that turns 19 years today (March 25).

Looking back on their illustrious career, the trio went on to explain that their most memorable achievement will always be working with the Notorious One.
