After what seems like a longtime coming, Skrillex finally shares the finished version of his collaborative track with Chance the Rapper. Titled “Show Me Love,” the song first was teased last year during a close out at Mija DJ set, and now it gets some airplay on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show (48:50 mark) during last night’s show. It also includes vocals from Los Angeles singer Moses Sumney and arrangements from Robin Hannibal of Rhye and Quadron.
“It’s all about love and positivity, what this world really needs right now. I want to thank all of the artists in the world going out of their way to make people’s lives better and happier through creating and sharing their art,” Skrillex says of the remix.
And with Skrillex’s production to the side, Chance is the song’s real spitting star, with a lengthy verse about hustling and growing up in his hometown city of Chicago. “City I always talk about/What I rap about/Show me love because I love it/Only thing I can covet in public,” he raps.
