Anthony Hamilton is in his feelings and ready to express himself the way he knows best, through his music.
With a week removed from his upcoming fifth album What I’m Feelin’, the North Carolina soul-singer sat down with REVOLT to discuss his latest collaborative work with Young Thug, and his recent appearance at the White House.
“It’s an overwhelming feeling,” he said. “Most people don’t get to meet the president let alone sing for him, so to bring the two together is an amazing feeling. It’s history for my kids.”
As for his odd musical pairing with Atlanta’s misfit rapper that caught the attention of R&B superstar Usher, he confirmed, “I was in the studio with Young Thug, and we did a lot of songs in a random studio session.” Whether or not we can expect these tracks on his latest project, it’s still a sonic reach for the usual gritty, soul ballad crooner.

What I’m Feelin’ is due out March 25.
