Kanye West may be indecisive when it comes to the idea of joining Instagram, but one thing he’s 100 percent sold on is joining forces with Mumford & Sons for an upcoming charity album.
Produced by Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett, Kanye and a long list of other musicians, will take part in Metamorphoses, a 12-track collaborative album helmed by Lovett and Global Citizen co-founder and CEO Hugh Evans.
Set to arrive in the fall, the project will be crowd-sourcing the song lyrics from music fans and activists. Lyrical submissions are open now, up until March 31st. According to Lovett: “The words can be anything, as long as they’re original. All languages are welcome and all subject material too.
Along with Kanye, The National and Ellie Goulding will also partake in the project. More artists will be announced soon.
Global Citizen was organized in New York back in 2012 to connect “socially conscious citizens with information, organizations, events and campaigns all geared towards raising awareness and increasing action on issues that contribute to the poverty cycle.”
