Even though he’s rooting for #TeamGreen today (ie: Wiz Khalifa just wants everyone to get stoned and have a good time watching the Super Bowl), the rapper born Cameron Thomaz spent some time talking up his “fellow Cam”: the newly-crowned NFL MVP, Carolina Panthers’ QB Cameron Newton.

Leading up to today’s big showdown, the media spent time addressing Newton as a “black quarterback” and Cam the QB responded with eloquence. As for Khalifa? His take on the categorization is such that it’s something that is non-effective to Newton.

Rather, Wiz notes that Cam is great for and respectful of the culture, goes out there, performs spectacularly and…has a great smile.
