Bobby Shmurda is set to go to trial later this year, with a new date, May 11, being announced, XXL is reporting.
The rapper was scheduled to appear in court later this month, however, a representative from the prosecutor’s office confirmed the date has been changed.
A new judge in the case, Abraham Clott, also informed XXL that Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel will have their cases separated from other members of GS9. The pair will move forward on May 11 along with Monty (Nicolas McCoy) and Cueno (Santino Boderick). Meanwhile, this month will find Rasha (Rashid Derrisant) and A-Rod (Alex Crandon) beginning their trial.
The “Hot Nigga” rapper was arrested in December 2014 at a Manhattan studio and hit with conspiracy, drug and gun charges. The Epic Records signee has failed to post bond and has been in jail since and a series of lawyers have represented him. Check back with REVOLT later today for more on this case.
