Nick Gordon has been ordered to pay $36.25 million in damages in the wrongful death lawsuit against him brought by the estate of Bobbi Kristina Brown.
In September, Gordon was found “legally responsible” for the July 2015 death of Bobbi Kristina after he failed to appear in court. Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, died in July 2015 when she was taken off life support after a six-month medically induced coma. This occurred several months after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Roswell townhome. Gordon was her longtime partner.
According to an autopsy, Bobbi Kristina was discovered with a mixture of alcohol, morphine, cocaine and prescription drugs in her system. Her death was classified as “undetermined.”
TMZ reports that the judgment issued by a jury comprises of $13 million for pain and suffering, and $15 million for loss of life. The total also takes into account Bobbi Kristina’s net worth and potential earnings.
