Idris Elba Responds To 007 Screenwriter With "Street" Lesson

If you’re going to take the high road, you might as well do it cheesing.

Idris Elba responded to a James Bond screenwriter who called the actor “too street” to play the legendary spy character with an Instagram post featuring a pic of the minor controversy and a cheery caption. “Always Keep Smiling!! It takes no energy and never hurts! Learned that from the Street!!

Anthony Horowitz suggested another black British actor instead of Elba, but his poor word choice launched the issue into a worldwide trending topic and he later apologized for any offence he may have caused.
