Jazz musician and composer Kamasi Washington has extended his musical arrangement to James Alexander’s latest film “Color Guard.” Scoring the complete short-film, which is the latest in Ray Ban’s Never Hide Film series, the 13-minute composition features Kamasi’s signature breezy shuffling and pinged-jazz elements.
The description for the film was released as:
“‘Color Guard’ is a comedy that tells the story of a young girl (Clover Nee) who requests that her babysitting Uncle Jamie (Jamie Granato) tell her a bedtime story. Jamie’s improvised tale centers around a group of color-blind and joyless adults, including Clover’s father Roland (Scovel), who attend “Guru Tiki Royal’s Color Camp For Adults” in efforts to be cured of their ailments and add color to their world.”
