Adele’s expected blockbuster release, 25, which arrives tomorrow (November 20) will bring a boon to the music industry…but not to the streaming world.
According to a report by the New York Times, the album will not be available on Spotify, Apple Music or any streaming service.
The report cites three people close to the situation, however, a representative from the singer’s label, Columbia Records, has yet to respond. The Times confirmed the collection will not be on Spotify, but they have yet to receive an answer from Apple. Adele is slightly following in Taylor Swift’s footsteps; the pop star’s last release was not available on Spotify, however, she later relented to Apple and her music was made available on Apple Music and Tidal.
