Rick Ross Announces 'Mastermind' Release Date

Rick Ross is a much bigger boss now than he was eight years ago, and come Spring, he’ll be proving so with true tenacity when he brings out the high-powered big guns for his Mastermind opus.

Teaming with REVOLT to make the official announcement via a cinematic trailer, the Bawse will be unleashing his biggest album to date on March 4, 2014.

The 47-second teaser clip directed by Hype Williams finds the Maybach Music head honcho setting the scene for an LP that many are already expecting to be his sixth consecutive masterpiece.

It was around this time last year that Ross announced the title of the album, which was followed by new singles like “Box Chevy” and "No Games," as well as an 8-city Mastermind Tour. Now with a brand new Jay Z-assisted single currently burning up the airwaves, the Bawse is back to take center position.

“To me, a Mastermind is somebody who set out to accomplish a goal, they planned [and] executed it and here we are,” Ross told REVOLT a few months back about the message behind his calculated album title. Like a true boss, the rap star’s new album title is more of a cunning assertion than brag, as it symbolizes Rozay’s outlook on the game after nearly a decade in since his debut.

“You know I have nothing to prove at this point. I'm self made. [This time] is just more about challenging myself to continue to go to new levels and be better than I was the last go around. I think that's what it’s all about,” explained Ross.

Needless to say, 2014 is up for the Bawse’s taking, as Mastermind arrives March 4.
