Exclusive: Ty Dolla $ign Confirms 'Or Nah' Remix With Drake, The Weeknd

The Cali-bred singer-producer also reveals plans to shoot a music video for the remix, as well as a forthcoming collab with Icona Pop and a feature on Lupe's new single.

West Coast artist and producer Ty Dolla $ign is having a breakout year, to say the least. His single “Paranoid” (which he performs for REVOLT Live in the video above) has developed from a club banger to a nationwide radio smash, and his Beach House EP has found success both critically and commercially.

His next single off the EP, “Or Nah”, also produced by DJ Mustard and featuring the Taylor Gang general Wiz Khalifa, has major hit potential as well. The record itself definitely bangs but the official remix for the track is shaping up to be one of the biggest tracks of 2014.

The Weeknd released his very explicit version of the steamy track a week ago and this Monday fellow Toronto artist and close collaborator Drake tweeted the below, before even being spotted spinning the original in Paris during a DJ set, sparking speculation as to whether Drizzy was going to bless bedrooms nationwide with an additional verse on this remix.

Well, REVOLT got confirmation from Ty Dolla $ign yesterday that Drake will be appearing on the remix. As shown in the video above, Ty Dolla exclusively told us about the Drake feature, stating, “we got this remix coming with me, The Weeknd and Drake, so God is great." In addition to that great news, he asserted, “we already shot a video for the first version but we’re going to shoot a video for the second version soon too.”

Ty also spoke to REVOLT about another international collaboration with Swedish duo Icona Pop (currently on tour with Miley Cyrus and Sky Ferreira), letting us know that he recently laid a verse on one of their tracks. And lastly, because we can’t enough of Ty$, take a listen to Lupe Fiasco’s new single “$nitches,” which features and is produced by who else, Ty Dolla $ign, below.
