Beloved actor and comedian Tracy Morgan is listed in critical condition following a multi-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike late last night.
The former Saturday Night Live cast member and 30 Rock star was riding in his Mercedes limo van with six other passengers when it was hit by tractor-trailer, which then overturned the vehicle with everyone inside. Five other vehicles were impacted by the accident, including two tractor trailers, an SUV and two other cars. Morgan, 45, along with two other passengers, was taken by helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The actor is currently in intensive care and listed in critical condition.
One passenger on Morgan’s bus, James McNair, of Peekskill, N.Y, was confirmed dead after the crash, as confirmed by Sgt. 1st Class Greg Williams to the Associated Press. In addition to Morgan, two other passengers are in critical condition, and one is listed as fair.
Morgan was heading back from a performance at the Dover Downs Casino and Hotel in Dover, Delaware on Friday night before the accident occurred around 1 a.m at the New Jersey Turnpike in Robbinsville.
