Exclusive: Sleigh Bells Detail New Record

Sleigh Bells are back. Almost. REVOLT has learned from a source close to the band that the duo, comprised of Derek Miller and Alexis Krauss are set to debut a new song September 3rd at 12:01am. Fans should stay tuned to (which it’s easy to speculate will serve as the title of the new track/album or both) to stream the single as well as cop full details on a forthcoming new record (Oh yeah, there’s one of those on the way), tour dates, and an accompanying music video. Writing for the band’s next release can be traced as far back as sessions for their previous effort, 2012’s “Reign Of Terror”. Speaking with 107.7 The End around then, Miller spilled the beans that to promote their second batch of tracks, they’d already released a piece of music from the third via a trailer for the album’s release. “The music for that is going to be on the third record.” Miller told the station, continuing “It was one of the last things we recorded and it just didn’t have a spot and I love that piece of music. So I’m going to develop it, flesh it out and arrange it, and turn it into a full-fledged song.” Speaking further, he revealed that wasn’t all they’d walked away with either, “if we went into the studio now I think we could come out now with six or seven really strong songs”. While it’s tough to know how much that’s really still the plan, you can scope the aforementioned trailer below, and speculate on the meaning of that “Bitter Rivals” URL while enjoying some Treats.
