Deadmau5 is a hard-working dude. Despite staying relatively quiet for the majority of 2013—aside from a co-headlining gig at this year's Made In America Festival—the Canadian DJ is gearing up for a major comeback next year, with a new album and tour on the way. "I've been going hardcore on production. I've got six, seven, eight, nine, 10 songs," Deadmau5 recently told Rolling Stone, in regards to his upcoming yet-to-be-titled LP. Before that, though, he'll be breaking fans off with an EP titled We Are Friends, alongside his mau5trap cohorts, which will feature two tracks from Deadmau5 ("Your Ad Here" and "Suckfest 9001") We Are Friends (out November 12) will be Deadmau5's first release on famed record label Astralwerks, the NYC-based imprint that EDM acts like Swedish House Mafia, The Chemical Brothers, and David Guetta have called home in the past. Speaking on the partnership, Deadmau5 admitted, "I found a place that knows what to do with my music." As far as his upcoming headlining tour, the DJ is gearing up for a major rollout that'll be more technologically-advanced than is currently conceivable. "I've been waiting a year and a half for the technology to catch up to what I want to do," he explained. "I'm still waiting." Check out Deadmau5's recent car ride with Pharrell here, during which the two musical legends got coffee and discussed all things non-music.
